If you have peace of heart then you can survive every disasters in your life

The cold breeze calmly whispers on that peaceful yuletide night. The moonlight emphasized the silhouette of the damaged huts and broken electricity lines. I was outside of our home listening to the sounds of crickets and ocean waves. The surrounding was pitch black and everything was covered in darkness and loneliness except for one – the sky. It was so beautiful. The stars were like a mosaic made of jewels. The moon gazed at me telling me to cheer up. And I realized it was not a sullen Christmas after all.

A month passed by after that horrible disaster which I opt not to be named. My fellows curve their lips but then their gloomy eyes show a pained soul. I felt that we are the most unfortunate people in the world during those days. While other places sparkled with vibrant lights and people groove with upbeat Christmas songs, we were hoping in a little candle to surpass the evening and was forced to hear the deafening silence of our unfortunate place. While most people enjoy nightly parties and buffets, most people in our place hope to find their fortune through a wooden stick and a pile of wreckage. If there was a shooting star that night I would have immediately wished to return everything back to normal.

But then as I was hypnotized by the beauty of the starry sky, I thought that I was not really that unfortunate. The brilliance of the million stars showered me positive thoughts about the blessings of life. It is embarrassing but my point of view was wrong. I was just being drowned by the current situation. My family is still complete and they are, at the very least, safe and sound. Most of all, we are still blessed to survive and live. Probably, the odds for now is not in our favor but our continuous hard work and resilience will steer us to our dreams one day.

Also, I remember one important thing in life – gratitude. It is a human nature to seek for something which he does not have. But because of this, we forget to be thankful for what we already possess until they are suddenly gone. We forget that there is a beautiful night sky more breathtaking than a chandelier in a five star hotel or the love of our Mom more splendid than being “seen-zoned” by your crush. But just like the stars coming back beaming after a heavy rain, we can still show our gratitude after realizing our faults. A broken electricity post or a damaged nipa hut should never be a reason!

Under that beautiful night sky of Christmas, I have changed a bit. That little silence made my thoughts unravel positivism in life. Now, rather than choosing a city night out, I would love to spend the night with my love one under the moonlight and say “Thank you for being a blessing in my life”.

From my last Christmas break archive. I feel that this is a good time to refresh this post.

Have a good day!

  1. That was so good. I know that feeling and yes, I too do have a hard time having gratitude for the things I have. But, I am slowly picking myself up. It’s not easy to think about the good when the least good is happening at that moment but, of we’re alive, we still have a hope for a better tomorrow.😊😊

Nice one, Gray-yay!🤗 (I’m going toh call you by this name from now on.😬 Hope that’s okay!🙈)

    1. I love your positive perspective on this one. Challenges are there all the time like we’re on some quest in a game. Haha. Glad you’re doing well. ♥️

Sure. You can call me Gray if it’s make you happy. Haha. What should I call you? Bold or Boldy feels a little, you know, off for me. 😂

  2. Hehehe… I won’t call you Gray coz that’s very common. I’ve kept unique names for almost everyone I’ve interacted with (In real life too😛)

And you can call me whatever you wish to. I’d rate your nicknaming skill.🤣🤣

    1. Yeah people are already calling me Gray. I just realized the -yay part now. Haha.

I suck at naming. I so love Elon Musk I’ll be naming our upcoming dog DGX01. 😂

          1. Hehehe… I know Elon Musk. Yeah, I did read that a while ago. Can’t recollect though.🤔😒

By the time you call your dog by that name, he’d reach 7 miles away from you.🤣🤣

            Don’t mind my weirdness.😜😂
